LAFB spent her birthday doing something she loves.  She's appearing in a production of The Laramie Project.   http://www.mccc.edu/~humphrew/whatsnew/laramie.html
 Hasn't had the opportunity yet to get on here and see her nice birthday messages, but I told her she had some and she got a big smile on her face and was pleased.

She's gonna totally kill me, but I don't care.  Get this....
After last night's performance, the assistant director (who is married to LAFB's drama professor), told LAFB that near the beginning of the semester he came home one day and said, "I've got this new student in one of my classes.  She's only 17 and she's channeling Lauren Bacall.  I don't know how to cast her."  (!!) LOL  Who knew???  [idontknow]

Anyway, shameless testimonial:  I can't even express how proud I am and how lucky I feel to have a daughter who I can call a true friend, who's an honor roll student, holds down a job, has spent countless hours at rehearsals over the last few weeks, and still manages to spend time with her brothers - who drive her nuts.  (They think they own her).

NOW....if she could just learn to cook.... ;)

  However, I have discovered that being 18 isn't all it's cracked up to be.

  I don't smoke, drink, or play the lottery since I hoard my money.  I now qualify for a license that allows me to drive past midnight and I'm now not limited to the number of people I can have in my car, but I'm not going to drive around with 20 random teens packed into my car because I don't want anyone in my car because it's mine, and they might mess it up.
   Oh, and I can now qualify for a free college checking account, which means I can now pay all my car payments and dentist bills myself!  Whoopee!  [hello]
