I watched the new episode tonight and I really enjoyed it.  The series continues to riff upon some themes familiar to DARK SHADOWS fans but there are other themes as well involved... it's a very complicated story and I'm loving every minute of this ride.

I just wish I felt more optimistic about the series being renewed for next year... It's been an exceptionally delicious wintertide treat to enjoy.

For those who embrace spoilers, there are trailers up on Youtube now for Dracula episodes 8 and 9.  Just type Dracula 1x08 (e.g.) to retrieve.

Bet,

NBC cancels 'Dracula': No Season 2 for vampire drama

Oh, well - it was fun while it lasted. Plus, Alec Newman guested.

The best, and most successful shows are coming from cable channels--and now Netflix--these days.
The big broadcast networks can't seem to get their s**t together anymore.

Has it ended yet? If so, was it resolved or did it end on a cliffhanger?  If it has an ending I plan to watch it.

Doctor, I watched every episode and the main arc does reach a conclusion, though there are threads left for a continuation, had it been renewed, and the fate of a couple of characters is left unclear.

Since you're a Big Finish fan you might enjoy it because it is kind of a pastiche of some of the themes of the novel and the various films--in the same way that the Big Finish stories tend to have sometimes an oblique or speculative relationship to their source material, be it the DS stories or stuff they've done from other fandoms.  There is *a lot*, IMO, in this DRACULA that kind of nods to elements of various DS plotlines, as well.
