Ravenswood: new prime time soap inspired (in part) by DS!

Ravenswood, a new, spooky prime time soap, will debut tonight (10/22) on ABC Family.
The producers cite DS as an influence and named one of the characters Collins--they specified in interviews that this is a nod to Barnabas!
Should be fun!

I've been seeing a lot of articles written about this show and reviews where the headlines seem to like it. I haven't read any of them, but I have been wondering if I should check the show out. And now that I see that it's a bit inspired by DS, I definitely will. Thanks for the post, David.

I just checked this out:

Definitely looks like it has potential.

And doesn't the word Ravenswood already have at least one partial connection to DS? Didn't Dan "Marilyn" Ross write a novel entitled Mistress of Ravenswood, or some such?

At first I was confused, because the show and storyline is continued from Pretty Little Liars, which I never watched, but it all began to come together quickly.
Steven Cabral, as the Collins character, is an undertaker who looks like a corpse! I could see him playing Barnabas!

Now I want to get the Pretty Little Liars DVDs!

I don't know if anyone is watching this show - and if you started to but gave up, I can understand because it wasn't all that exciting. Not bad, but not great either. But I decided to give it one more week, and I'm glad I did because I just finished watching the third ep and it really kicked things way up. There may really be hope for the show after all.

Last night's midseason finale certainly threw some curveballs - enough so that I'm definitely intrigued enough to tune back in when the show returns in January.

Actually, I've been so busy that I never did get the chance to tune back in when the show returned. And now comes this:

'Ravenswood' canceled by ABC Family

So, apparently it was for the best that I didn't get attached to the show...
