Im trying to reply to Gerard & Cassandra's posts regarding the late legendary singer Johnny Cash and the actor/comedian John Ritter and their passing away. I cant seem to find the reply button to this anywhere on my screen? What is happening to me now?? I just come back to check things out and already something happens to me.

(I think I'll go back to lurking again)

Oh please don't, Debra. That's what you should be seeing (or in this case, not seeing) because the reply and quote buttons disappear when a topic is locked. The indicator that a topic has been locked is the icon of a key lock that shows up in the first column next to the topic listing and again at the top when the topic is open.

Out of curiosity - why were they locked? We've had similar posts in the past with numerous replies.

Um...hope I'm not being pushy.

I think they were locked because (and MB had a topic I think on M.M) this is a DS forum; it's nice to be able to talk about personal stuff (like we all do & enjoy), but if we put EVERYTHING & 1000000 replies, it starts to get too crowded.

Hi Midnite, Im also curious as to why the topic was locked? This way I'll avoid wasting time posting such things in the future.

Thanks MB for clearing this up for me. I must have somehow missed that post.

I think it's so nice that we're able to share alot of things on this board. There's another board that Im on (not DS related) and they don't even want you wishing others a happy birthday!!
