Kindred: The Embraced To Be Released On DVD!
« on: September 27, 2013, 10:23:00 PM »
If you were a fan of the vampire series Kindred: The Embraced (and I know that Channon Roe's fans alone are a big part of this forum  [ghost_wink]), there's good news: the show is being released on DVD on October 22nd with some really interesting "Deluxe" packaging:

Kindred: The Embraced - Complete Series (Includes Book of Nod)

The price on Amazon is currently $34.99, but that should likely drop as the release date gets closer...

A lot of it seems to be on Youtube.  I just watched the first 20 minutes of the pilot; good trashy Eighties fun.  I think this one went out of production because one of the lead actors was killed suddenly in a motorcycle accident?

I'd completely forgotten about it, but I think you are right that the show ended prematurely because one of the major male cast members died. I believe it may have been Mark Frankel.

It's bad enough when a show ends prematurely because a network pulls it for often unfathomable reasons (like Warren Littlefield killing the '91 DS because it was Brandon Tartikoff's pet project and not one of his) - but it's really sad when it ends because one of the leads dies.
