Please keep in mind that these images are coming to us via a PCS camera, but at least they provide an instant peek and info about the goings on for the cousins unable to attend tonite's events in Brooklyn.  In all likelihood these won't remain on the forum as I'm sure that very soon there'll be plenty of good quality pics to see on the various forums once the Fest is over.

Tonite's star panel included Jim Storm, Diana Millay, Marie Wallace and John Karlen:

Kathryn Leigh Scott, Lara Parker, and surprise guest Terry Crawford were also part of the panel but were seated on the opposite side of the stage.

That's it til tomorrow.  (The phone is charging. :))

You're all very welcome, but Annie, I'm in L.A. and he's in New York already.  The pictures are emailed to me and all I'm doing is putting them on the board.  So I'll pass along your thanks to the fan that is taking and sending them, and whose idea this was in the first place!

I went to the fest last night but was unable to attend today.  I plan to do so tomorrow.

The greeting given to me by ProfStokes was so sweet and generous, it nearly brought me to tears.  I posed with her for a picture.  She's an absolute doll, talking up Robservations like a born salesperson!

I'm so sorry I missed her portrayal of Maggie Evans today!  What a shame!

I wanted to pass along something nice--when Cheryl and I got on the elevator alone last night, both Lara Parker and David Selby got on a few moments later.  (Jim Pierson was there, too, but the least said about him the better).  I greeted Selby as "David" and said a too-eager "Hi!"  Selby held the door so Cheryl and I could exit before him--what a gentleman!  It was totally unexpected and a total delight.  Selby is very handsome with salt and pepper hair.  John Karlen is boistrous and hilarious, keeping the audience laughing non-stop.  KLS had a booth selling all her books and was more than willing to pose for ohotos and give autographs.  She looks as young as ever, with blonde-streaked hair!  Marie Wallace is gracious, gorgeous and very patient.  Lara Parker related her stories with a twinkle in her eye.  Roger Davis was. . .well, I exited the auditorium before he got onstage, so I can't really say.  Diana Millay claimed to have spoken to Jonathan Frid a few weeks ago, but we have our doubts.

There were some very STRANGE people there last night, and I mean stranger than ME!!!

For all of those wondering if I remembered to get your 2004 DS calendars, I did, and will mail them out to you when I get a chance.

Love, Robin

How wild that she was there to lead the auction, considering that her episode (#1126) will be on Sci-Fi in just under a month (the first ep on 9/29). ;)

Cool, MB!  She also spoke for a few minutes before the auction began, and took questions from the audience.  This wasn't brought up at all, so IS there any truth to the rumor that she and Sacheen Littlefeather are one and the same?

Sorry I couldn't offer photos from Saturday's star panel (which included Lisa Richards) but the stage lights that were added in preparation for the filming of today's reader's drama ("Return to Collinwood") white out the actors' faces on this type of camera.   To show you what I mean, this is Terry Crawford on stage right now:

Oops.  But if you've ever taken photos at previous Fests, you'll know that more lighting on the stage is a good thing.

BTW, this weekend KLS and others put Jim Pierson on the spot during a cast reunion, bringing him onto the stage to question him about the future of the DS Fests.  Sorry I missed that.  :)

I knew I could count on the good old board to keep us all updated on the events. I've been thinking about the fest all weekend and I'm green with envy! Hope everyone is having a blast! Thanks for posting the pics Midnite. I'm looking forward to all reports and photos from everyone.  I would be especially interested to read the results of KLS's future fest inquiries.

I don't have a PCS phone so I know VERY little about them, but I wonder if there's a way to do any sort of gamma correction with it to compensate for too bright or too dim lighting? Or is it a WYSIWYG setup? After all, its main use is for phone calls not photos. ;)

Definitely. But apparently not spotlighting. :(

Like CastleBee, I'm very interested to hear what the story is. There's also supposed to be an announcement about next year's event...
