Friends,

Please remember Philippe Cordier ("Vlad" from earlier days in fandom) in your prayers, or send healing thoughts, as he'll soon undergo surgery for a lung cancer diagnosis.

You're welcome to also post words of encouragement.  While he may not see them right away, I know that the compassion of other DS fans will be a comfort to him during what will surely be a challenging recovery.

I've come to know Philippe quite well over the past years.  I met him at an Anaheim fest and really enjoyed his company and we have hung out at several fest since.  My prayers for a successful surgery and recovery my friend.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ditto: To Annie's very kind and thoughtful remarks.  As a former altar boy, I, too, will say the rosary for Vlad, and also pray to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the great founder of the Jesuits, whose members provided both faith and knowledge to me many years ago in theology and philosophy classes during my undergraduate days.
