Really? I see both links under everyone's totals. Well, except my own, of course.  :-

Hmmm...

Well YOU know how little attention I pay to that particular feature.....and I wouldn't have noticed it yet except that you brought it up......but they really aren't there..... ;)

How funny!  I see the "cure" and "curse" buttons under Raineypark and MB's names on this page of the topic, but they're not showing for anybody on the preceding page, and I haven't noticed them anywhere else on the board either.

Well, I see them everywhere now.... :D

So useful to have a Wizard in residence, isn't it?  ;)

The permissions must have gotten changed when I upgraded. But I've set things back to the way they should be.  :)

Karma has always worked by simply clicking on the words "cure" and "curse" underneath each member's positive and negative totals. There were never any buttons.

Newer members may want to go back and read the beginning of this topic to get a better idea of how Karma works because it doesn't necessarily work the way you might think. In the DS universe we've learned that to be cursed is a good thing, while being cured is not.  ;)

Don't worry, I know how it works (been doing my reading), I was just pointing out....oh nevermind.  LOL  Thanks for fixing that!   :)

I had been wondering what the karma thing meant, now I hate to do a VW but I still don't understand. Could someone explain what this is all about?

[I'm trying to post this again]

Well I was wondering the same think until I read MB's explanation at the beginning of this thread.  WOW, I thought since I got -4 or so curses someone didn't like me.  So I wondered, what the heck did I say or do wrong for those curses?  NOW, I understand it's just the opposite and people like me again.  LOL  One has to be careful about one's self-esteem when being "cursed"!

wasn't always that way though....

It was only the other way around for the first five months of the switch to YaBB SE - before we realized that this way around was a better fit for a forum devoted to DS.  ;)

On the other hand, it's been this way for over 18 months - and there are no plans to ever change it around again...

Cool... [angl2]  The only place I know of where curses are a good thing [banana] and cures are a bad thing.  [diablo]  I'm going to have to get busy.  But I'll probably give everyone a curse point since I don't know why I'd want to cure anyone.  ::)

I'm having the worst bad run ever!!!!  [eviltongue] I've hit Laura a few times today and every time, I not only got cured, it was like 333 points in one hit!  Wow, when did they get like that? I know this is fun, but I was doing so well in my balance. I have to say the whole "this image is copyrighted" that happens when you click on her is driving me a lil nuts too. Of all the Charlie Brown days I've had, this is the Charlie Browniest!   :P

That only comes up if someone right-clicks on it. Why would you right-click?  [hdscrt]
