Alexandra 'Victoria Winters'

So today I'm watching "American Justice", A&E shows it, and they had on Claus Von Bulen(? spellcheck on that last name please!).  Anyway, Alexandra Illes (sp to please), Victoria (I don't understand) Winters on.  I knew she was involved with him, but I never had seen her 'up on the stand'.  She was wonderful!  When the lawyer asked her why she still went with him after he had been charged with trying to kill his wife, she said in such a regal voice, "Haven't you ever been in love?".  Go get 'em.

I've seen that documentary a coupla times.  Honest to Pete, doesn't that scene of her giving testimony look and sound like something right out of a soap opera?  Sam Hall could not've written it better, and Lela Swift could not've directed it better.

I'd agree with that - that response is such an instant soundbite that I doubt it was made unwittingly.

If you're interested in the trial, there's a pretty decent film made of it - "Reversal of Fortune" - with Jeremy Irons and Julie Haggerty playing Alexandra.  The Lyndhurst and Seaview Terrace properties are also seen in the film.
