Wonderful RobinV writes:
1001 - In one of the very best special effects ever utilized on DS, Angelique confronts her terrified sister, Alexis. There is almost perfect symmetry as we watch this battle to the death. We've seen cheesy special effects on DS, but it's obvious that this most important scene was done with care--and it shows. These scenes still have the power to raise goosebumps rise on my flesh
I haven't been watching yet; but I've seen this ep.
It is very well done (especially for DS!).
Does anyone know who did the directing and camera work?
Which leads me to:
If the actors were in Tarrytown filming, what about the major production people?
Who did direct and film the NODS & HODS movies?
Thanks (especially to ROBIN)

Episode 1001 was directed by Lela Swift.
"House of DS" shared very few technical crew with the daytime show - Ramse Mostoller supervised costumes, and Lela Swift worked uncredited as a director's assistant. Dan Curtis directed both movies - he only ever directed for the show occasionally, so it had little impact on the day-to-day running of the daytime show.
