Not to be critical, but in this economy, they're complaining since they got re-hired to a once-canceled show? [ghost_tongue]
These people
a) work hard
b) are paid alot more than most Americans

There...that's my two-cents worth.

God Bless America!

The actors are delighted to be back. they're being held hostage by a union playing hardball.

patti, its the producers that make all the $. I don't blame the actors for wanting as much as they can get. back in the old days the stars got a paid contract and no residuals cause no one thought movies would ever be on tv and shown over and over again. even the dark shadows stars were denied residuals and were even told by producer Dan Curtis that each episode of DARK SHADOWS would only be shown once and never again!

No, no, I read the article. It said production peeps (actually, it took me back a couple of years to the Writer's Strike)!!

Patti, who doesn't think the actor's are the 'issue' (noticed, I was just shy of saying 'problem'...but I didn't say it....)

So, once OLTL ended on ABC, I naturally would occasionally watch "General Hospital".
Yes, the key reasons were 'Starr, Todd, and John McBain' (w/occasional Blair, etc).
Now that ONE LIFE TO LIVE IS BACK ON AIRWAVES....I see GH on at my work...I notice Starr's hair has a new hue to it. The other day at home, I hovered on ABC; it wasn't Starr and wasn't 'Victor' (aka faux-Todd).

I'm not an expert, but I'm an frequent GH watcher, and I heard that General Hospital is no longer allowed to use the One Life to Live characters, so the GH writers had to create totally new and different characters for the former one lifers so they wouldn't get sued.

Just passing by a resident's room today; I saw Susan Lucci (kiss kiss!) on "The View" or something...I briefly heard her say something like, "We're on hiatus, trying to work some things...." then I was moving on.
Did anyone hear/see this today (Wednesday, 19th)?

That is great news,  [ghost_grin]  especially for those who weren't comfortable with the whole internet concept. But, after the remarks that Oprah made about the soaps being a dead concept, if she's eating crow now.

This is exciting news!
A few things:
First, I believe the article said, "A limited run, starting from their beginnings" (or close to that).
I wonder, after it has 'caught up' to 'current', what will happen now.
Second, does anyone know if they will still be 'broadcast' on Hulu/HP?

Thanks,

Patti

PS, the article stated they had heard from 'different platforms' (in regards to OLTL & AMC), so, WE, THE PEOPLE, were in fact heard!!!
