OLTL has added a newbie to its cast: Corben Bleu, who appeared in the extremely successful High School Musical franchise. He will be playing Jeffrey, a reporter who works for the Banner and will also interact with the younger characters. Corben has quite a following from HSM, so that can only be good for OLTL.

Patti, while the shows have alternate taping schedules (AMC was first), they will both be available for viewing on April 29.

The battle for custody of the three OLTL characters that have been appearing on General Hospital seems to be resolved. Michael Easton, Kristen Alderson and Roger Howarth will remain on General Hospital but they will be playing different characters. Not sure how well this will work. This would be the third GH character for Easton in less than a year.

ABC seems to be blaming Prospect Park for not being cooperative. But Prospect Park owns the rights to those characters and is looking to protect their investment.

I was hoping that they might work out some sort of compromise that allow crossovers from time to time. Perhaps two shows on two different networks that tape on opposite coasts was too difficult to work out.

Well, it could be argued, and I'm sure it has been argued that ABC probably shouldn't have canceled AMC and OLTL in the first place. But even beyond that, no one forced them to turn the rights to both shows over to Prospect Park lock, stock and barrel. ABC did so because they no longer wanted to have anything to do with AMC and OLTL - so it's pretty hard to have much sympathy for ABC in this situation. And while one can certainly feel sympathy for GH, unfortunately for them they're bound by the deal ABC made. So, if there's any villain in the situation, it's ABC and not Prospect Park because Prospect Park made their deal with ABC in good faith.

Pop tart Jesse Malakouti (the lead singer of Jesse and the Boy Toys, in case you're going "Who?") has been signed to OLTL as "an aspiring singer." No character name was announced but given that she's cute, blonde and in her early 20's, she may well be placing Kristen Alderson as Starr.

In a surprise casting move, OLTL has hired J Woww(or whatever her name is), one of the Jersey Shore cast, to play a bartender who works for Blair. Obviously, this is stunt casting. I don't think anyone is expecting her to be the second coming of Anne Bancroft. At best, maybe she'll attract some younger viewers. At worst, she can't be any worse than Khloe Kardashian was.

Prospect Park has released two promotional clips that run about eight minutes apiece. The clips provide some basic info on what has already happened, such as the basics of the Viki/Dorian feud on OLTL, recapped by Erika Slezak. There's some new footage as well. The new stuff looks pretty good. Very, very much looking forward to see what's in store!

Michael Easton, et al, are going to play 'different characters'?

So, I had off Mon & Tues; there's been alot of hoopla regarding 50 years of GH, so I've been watching (at least for this week; I tend to watch the one weekday I'm off...BUT IF OLTL WERE ON ANY FORMAT, BYE-BYE GH...HELLO OL!!)

This week, during the credits, I saw Michael Easton, but, I didn't see Roger Horwarth OR Kristen Aldersen. I know K.A. moved to LA for GH; I canNOT imagine OLTL w/out Todd (although, we had a fake Todd for about a decade...)

Anyone heard anything more on this?

BTW, for GH fans, On '20/20' Saturday eve (on ABC), there's a special regarding GH's 50 year run.
