A couple of recasts have been announced. On AMC, Jordan Lane Pryce will play Miranda Montgomery, the daughter of Bianca. The character is now a teenager and will probably be featured quite a bit.

OLTL has recast Destiny Evans. The new Destiny will be Laura Harrier, a former model.  She's definitely pretty. Hopefully, she can act.

Eden Riegel (Bianca) has agreed to do a short term story arc on AMC.

Nothing has been announced, Patti.

Bear this in mind, though. When his character seemed to be killed off, Trevor said that he was done with OLTL forever. But he showed up for the final episode. No doubt that Prospect Park has talked to him. If he does agree to come back, it will probably be short term and be a surprise.

every time i randomly turn on a soap it features actors/characters from other current or former soaps. it's like the soap world is imploding and it's participants are clinging for dear life...


one of the last times i watched Y&R genie francis was playing a character whose name i didn't catch. then last week i saw her as laura on GH. is she playing both soaps?


i don't know that i'll catch these revivals but i'm pleased that these actors can get back to work.

Michael, Genie was playing Genevieve on Young and the Restless. There was a change in executive producers and her option was not picked up. This freed her to accept the offer from General Hospital.

Roger Howarth will join the OLTL revival during its second week of production. He will return to General Hospital after his stint is done. Scheduling his appearances could be a headache for both shows. Due to the arrangement between ABC and Prospect Park, new episodes that feature Howarth cannot air on the same day.

Nothing has been said about Michael Easton or Kristen Alderson.

Good, I am glad their best interests mirror our best interests as fans, though for me, I can't stomach RH's Todd Manning - so if I never saw him again I wouldn't shed a tear -- but then again, I will admit that he is the type of 'bad' guy I love to hate.

I'm with you on that, dom. I never quite warmed up to either incarnation of Todd Manning. I've find it inconceivable that a character could morph from a convicted rapist to antihero to romantic lead. Let alone that Mattel seriously considered marketing a Todd Manning doll at one point.

rehabilitating formerly very nasty characters, once they become fan favorites, into much more sympathetic ones and even romantic leads is a soap opera standard. currently two of Y&R's most popular characters...michael baldwin and phyllis summers...were a rapist and a murderer once upon a time and now they're beloved by the series' fans.


and certainly in terms of DS you couldn't ask for two nastier pieces of work than barnabas and quentin...murderers both...when those characters were first introduced. and look at what happened with them...

dolls, lunchboxes, bubble gum cards and board games for those former sociopaths and psychos. so todd manning's role reversal's not "inconceivable" at all if you think about it.

Not in the least bit in the soap world, which is a world very different than our own. VERY different!

Francesca James, a 1970s AMC cast member (she later produced & directed the show) has signed on to return to the cast in a new role.
