Been Long Time Gone :(

I've been gone a long while from the board.  :'(  I've missed everyone a lot.  :(
Even more so, I miss Dark Shadows!  :'(  Here in Seattle, SCI-Fi shows it at 5am in the morning!  :(  I'm not up that time of morning and when we had our digital cable connected, didn't have the VCR connected.  So I can't record DS.

Since I was on here last, I lost my mother in December and things are just now getting back together.  Last year was tough, losing my son's dad and then my mom in December.  We're all doing fine though.  :)

Look forward to reading more posts!  Boy! Do I have a lot to catch up on.  :o

I'm sorry for your losses, but glad to know that you and yours are coping well.

Were you able to purchase any of the DS DVDs?

Welcome back, Donna.  I offer you my condolences for all the losses you have had to endure in your life these past months and years.  I hope the happy memories you have of when they were with you helps ease the pain of your bereavement.

I hope somehow, somewhere, you can just kick back and enjoy a DS-a-thon one of these days.  It's one of the ways I cope with stress when the usual stuff doesn't work.

Im real sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother and your son's Dad.   My deepest sympathies & prayers are with you Donna and Im glad to hear that you and your family are doing okay.

Hi, Donna!  So good to have you back and so sorry about your losses and the really rough year.  And now make sure to find somebody to hook up that VCR to your digital cable!  When I lived in Alaska, there were times when DS came on at 5:00 a.m., so good thing I had that VCR!

Hi Donna,

I'm so sorry to learn of your losses.  I hope you're doing better now.  It's nice to have you back.

When I finally agreed to switch to digital, I made sure that it could be fixed so that one channel could be taped while watching another.  They assured me that it could, and they did do it.

In order to tape any digital channels, I have to switch the cables and then can't watch any other channels.  Fortunately, things like SciFi are "regular" and can be taped directly.

Donna,

WELCOME BACK!!!!
Sorry about your losses including the loss of Dark Shadows.

But I'm think there must be a way to hook the VCR and Cable up at the same time.  Maybe you have hook up the Cable to the VCR and then turn on the VCR when you just watch TV.  It's worth a try.  Check you VCR directions and see.   But that may be the compromise.  It's worth a shot.
