DS on DVD
« on: April 10, 2003, 06:31:19 AM »
This may have been addressed previously, if so I apologize. But...................

Having viewed some of the episodes on DVD I have noticed that many run just short of 20 minutes (not including the closing credits).  Are we getting the original length episodes on DVD or are we receiving an edited version?  I would hope with the cost of these DVD's that we would receive the full length version.

Thanks,

Murph

I have the first 5 DVD sets and the running times so far are the same as the VHS tapes.  Each ep is about 21-22 minutes long including closing credits...its always been that way...

if ur watching the real early episodes, i think they r a little shorter but thats the way they were originally. it has something to do with an extra station break that was eliminated somewhere around the time that they get rid of the announcer that says "dark shadows is a dan curtis production"
