Quentofi Sneer

I can't seem to put my hands on exactly the right grabs at the moment, but has anyone noticed the slightly different expressions Selby gets on his face as Petofi??
They're expressions you don't really see from Quentin.  There's this evil sneer where his lip sort of goes up on one side, and ya know who it reminds me of??

I appreciate Selby's wide ranging acting abilities on the show but in the end I find his Petofi "intensity" slightly annoying and a bit hard to watch. Especially when he walks around with his hand raised and somewhat stiff and always in camera view. The sneer makes me wince...

Oh yes, Connie, we have noticed the luscious curl and twirl and twitch of those satin smooth lips in the role of Quentofi...

I think one of my faves is the look on his face he gets when he's about to turn Barnabas into "the Bat."  And that whole speech is just so deliriously edible.  Makes Ben and Jerry's look like, oh, I don't know, chopped liver???

Hey, maybe Elvis was really Count Petofi?  Would explain a LOT, starting with the hair grease, the fried banana sandwiches, and the vocal stylisations on "Suspicious Minds."

Personally, I think Selby is doing a great job. I have had the impression that DS was his first regular acting job? If so, he certainly is impressive. At first it looked like Quentofi (love it) was going to look like the evil ghost of Quentin, but he changed it into something quite different. Of course, when he's playing the show's most handsome charmer, he's NOT acting....

It was his first regular job on TV.  Before that, all his acting was on the stage.
