Update Number 257. March 11, 2012
Hello, Dark Shadows Fan,
ShadowGram (SG), The Official Newsletter & News Source for Dark Shadows (DS) announces the following breaking news in this Online News Update "bulletin."

**** DETAILS ANNOUNCED FOR DS MOVIE PREMIERE PARTY
2012 is the year we see "Dark Shadows," the new movie being brought to us by 2 famous, longtime DS fans: Johnny Depp stars as "Barnabas" in a major film directed by his frequent collaborator Tim Burton, along with an all-star cast.

"Dark Shadows" opens internationally on Friday, May 11 (a week later in Japan).

On the evening of THURSDAY, MAY 10, the DS Festival presents a very special "Dark Shadows Movie Premiere Party." The event runs 6:00pm to Midnight.

This actually is the evening before the official opening (theatres usually cannot show a film before midnight on its opening date). You will be in a classic theatre, joined in the audience by original DS stars and hundreds of DS fans together, all watching the eagerly-anticipated new DS movie for the first time - and before many others get to see it.

These original DS stars will attend and will be signing autographs that evening:

LARA PARKER, NANCY BARRETT, JERRY LACY, CHRIS PENNOCK, KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT, ROGER DAVIS, JAMES STORM, and LISA RICHARDS - plus "other special guests!"

Lara and Kathryn - along with DS' Jonathan Frid and David Selby - make cameo appearances in the film.
A variety of DS memorabilia will be available for purchase and there will be a charity auction.

---LOCATION: The historic Vista Theatre, 4473 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90027.
In a "Special Double Feature on the Big Screen," the 1970 theatrical release "House of Dark Shadows" will be shown first. It was the first feature movie based on a daytime soap opera. Original TV cast members re-created their TV characters in a stand-alone story about Barnabas' release from the coffin after almost 200 years. His obsessive search for his lost love Josette drives the vampire into Collinwood itself.

--- SCHEDULE: Thursday, May 10, 2012 - 6:00pm to Midnight

6:00 - HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS (1970 movie starring Jonathan Frid) - Screening
7:45 - Celebrity Autographs and Charity Auction
9:45 - Dark Shadows (2012 movie starring Johnny Depp - First Screening
