(Google suggested a related search for Mortimer Snerd, so that's all I needed to know.   By the way, one weird night I get an urge to make my avatar on Facebook be a pic of Mortimer Snerd, for no earthly reason I can figure out.   After some Googling it passed, fortunately...)

Right on Knuck and Jerry, Willie. I think there is a Mortimer in Arsenic but Snerd was one of  Edgar Bergen's dummies.
