After OLTL was over (Victor Lord...indeed!!), I was channel surfing...was that The Night Stalker on Sci-Fi?

It was one with a vampiress!!! Davin McLoud?? had a 10 ft tall cross ¢â‚¬  that he had apparently pre-doused with gas then lit it...she fried!!

What year was Night Stalker on? I'm thinking circa 75 (the clothes)...was it on like Thurs. at 9pm, maybe ABC?

Is Sci-Fi (OUR FAVORITE, RIGHT :D ) going  to continue to air it?

Indeed...Victor Lord....

somebody wanna make me believe Mrs. Johnson isn't alive and well AND writing for OLTL!!!

Actually Patti, its Darren McGavin but I am not one to smite about a littel spelling error!

There is a 'pretty good' web site all about TNS at:

http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Stargate/4991/klchkhom.htm

I'll bet there are many, but this one has a good overview.
I think is is on every Tuesday at sci-fi for a while.

as Mick sez: Hey you, get of McLoud - {played by Dennis Weaver}

Thanks for the link Ringo.

Another MATURE POSTER question:

The above site mentions the show started in Sept. '74 and had 20 eps and ended in Aug. 75.

What was happening that there would be only 20 shows?

(I don't think that webmaster meant re-runs...)

The gas crisis of 74 was about over...Vietnam was over.

What was on TV to pre-empt (or was TV that erratic back then...I know it wasn't, but still)?

I was just a kid 8)    (boy do I feel some smites coming on!!!)

I wasn't around back then (I'm still in school, lol), but The Night Stalker didn't attract an audience. It was up against Police Woman on NBC which was pretty big at the time.

Sci Fi is going to air TNS at the same time on March 13th and March 28th as part of it's classic sci fi daytime rotation. Every day from 11am-4pm EST is a different block of episodes from a certain show.

Thanks for the info, VictoriaWintersRox!  Love your forum 'handle' btw.  ;)

Wonder if Sci-Fi will be airing the Kolchak TNS ep that features our very own Lara Parker?  Has anyone seen it? Think it was called "The Trevi Collection."

I remember when the original movie aired (at that time, the highest-ever rated made-for-TV film), and going ballistic when I heard Robert Colbert sound-track music, and seeing the name "Dan Curtis" appear.  I needed that, as I was still in mourning from DS being canceled months earlier.  The next morning, everyone in the first hour class (which happened to be Beginner German) couldn't stop talking about it.  It was the social event of the season.

Night Stalker - I didn't realize Sci-Fi was playing it.  I was like 6 when it was on, but I remember each week watching it with my mom and brother.  We all loved it.  I couldn't believe it was cancelled after only 1 season, I gave up hope  that they would play it on TV anymore, (I used to catch the movies sometimes at 2:00am), so I bought all of the tapes.  I thought it was a great show, ahead of it's time.  I do have and have seen the episode with Lara Parker in it.  I was thrilled to see a DS actress in it.  She played what else - a witch.

I highly recommend watching it!
