I did a little digging and found some information, though not a lot. Parachute To Paradise was filmed in 1968 and was intended to be a theatrical release. For reasons that are unclear, that never happened. The film went unreleased and sat on the shelf for many years. It did air in some areas in the early 1970's but was classified as a tv movie. The brief burst of interest may be connected to the presence of Richard Roundtree in the cast. Roundtree was quite the hot property for a brief moment due to his appearance as Shaft.
