And actually, posting about it isn't completely OT because the young actress who plays the young Victoria in the Depp/DS film (Alexia Osborne) is also in this film...

I saw the 1980s telefilm a couple of years ago thanks to a friend.  It aired originally on the A & E network over here.  It was really well done, I thought--very understated.

This could finally be the breakthrough movie for the newly revived Hammer studios.  Wake Wood was pretty much dead in the water, no pun intended.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the January/February issue of Rue Morgue features an in depth article on The Woman in Black, along with an incredibly brief review of the new DS comic.
