OT - The Secret Circle--from Vampire Diaries team

CW has another teen angst supernatural soap: The Secret Circle, about a circle of teen witches.
The waterfront setting in Washington State is perfect--it's dark & damp all the time.
As always, it's a little weird that every single cast member, regardless of age or role, looks like a model, but the acting is OK and the first episode was kinda creepy!

I guess this is the latest in a long line of DS wannabes!
Think I'll stick with it!

I watched a couple of clips on Youtube.  It looks very derivative (of such films as The Craft and The Academy), but lots of fun.

There might be some derivativeness going on, but actually it's quite possibly the other way around because The Secret Circle TV show is based on a trilogy of books written by L. J. Smith back in '92.

The Vampire Diaries is also based on a series of her books which she began writing  in '91.

I watched the premiere ep of S.C. last week,  and I liked it alot.

I too thought of "The Craft" and also "Charmed" ; it seemed rather Aaron Spelling-esqu.

I have my timer set to watch it each week (IN ADDITION TO "THE RINGER"!!!!!!!!!!)
