Saw this on Guy Haines' Fb page... The official trailer for Tanner Hall, out in September, about a New England all-girl boarding school that looks very familiar.

Tanner Hall?  Um, Collinwood!  HOW COOL is that!  I don't go to movies much anymore (prefer DVD at home) but I might have to see this one for what looks like a grand tour of Carey Mansion.  ;)

I see the release date is September 9 but I did a search for it on Fandango and it's not playing anywhere around here.  Has anyone seen it listed playing near you?

It opened last weekend (the 9th) in Los Angeles, at the Sunset 5 I believe.

It seems like this might be one of those types of films that gets a limited release and then comes out on DVD. For the period of 9/9-9/15, BoxOfficeMojo reported that it was playing in 5 theaters, it grossed $4,690, and it ranked 86th for the week. And though it was listed on last weekend's chart, it isn't even listed on the chart for this past weekend. But if it's still playing anywhere, maybe it will show up on the weekly chart once that comes out at the end of the week...

BoxOfficeMojo updated the weekend chart when the actuals (meaning the amount of money the movies actually made as opposed to the estimates, which is what's widely reported) came in. Tanner Hall is now playing in only 1 theater, it made $315 over the weekend, and that brings its gross to $5,005 so far. Last weekend it had made $2,803, so its average per theater was $561, so it's definitely fallen off, and that could mean that this may be its final week in release...

It's not even on the 9/16-9/22 chart at BoxOfficeMojo, so that's not a good sign so far as it possibly opening anywhere else goes. But it could be a good sign that it will be coming out on DVD sooner rather than later...
