(I just watched it and, nope, I'd never seen it before. If I had, I would have never forgotten that blonde wig - and I never would have forgotten that Betsy was secretly Erica Kane's sister! I'm going to have to count the eps I have and compare the total to how many were produced to make sure I'm not missing any others. Got it! As I'm sure that you knew that I would.

I don't think that any DS actors appeared in any of the Patty Duke episodes, though I'm sure that a lot of them were in NYC at the time.

We did manage to parody the theme song, with lyrics describing Chris and Tom Jennings, in The Loco Motion.

([pointing-up]  The only connection between DS and TPDS that I'm aware of is that Robert Costello produced each one for some period of their run...)

It certainly would have made DS into more of a media circus than it already was. If such a thing were possible.
