[spoiler]I thought it was going to be Barnabas who'd be saving the day but it looks like it's Quentin!  (At least it seems that way - who knows with all the twists and turns).

Quentin sings:  "Here I come to save the DAY!"
Actually, he hasn't had much to sing about lately -- this needs to change.  ;D[/spoiler]

I have a million questions and a couple of worries.  Guess I'll just have to keep my shorts on a bit longer.  LOL

Great, great, great, great chapter.  Exciting as hell.

This is one of the best DS stories I have read.  I'm sorry to see it come to a close but it's good to know I can go back and reread it. [spoiler]It's nice to see Quentin with enough gumption to be the hero of this crisis.[/spoiler]

All I can say is WOW!!  Another great chapter!  Quentin was great!  

These are so good that I've printed them out and now my Mom is reading them!  She loves them!

But now what are we going to do when this saga ends?
I hope you continue to post more stories here for us to enjoy.

Wow -- thanks for the wonderful votes of confidence. I'm so thankful for your kind responses. After LABYRINTH is done, I'll have other writing projects in the works, though I doubt I'll be able to devote free time to more DS work (except for perhaps things like an X-mas round robin -- hint hint, BOB).

I've got a coupla more short stories to write for upcoming anthologies. Will post progress at appopriate times.

Chapter 19 is almost finished and will be posted in the next couple of days.

THIS is bumming me out no end.  Only a couple of more chapters?  :'(
And then not even a sequel?  :'(  :'(
This story went by too fast.  It's all too much to bear.  I must find a way out of this misery.

Thanks for sharing this story with us Mark!  It really is one of the best Dark Shadows stories I've ever read.  Love how your descriptions of the surrounding and of how the characters are feeling really evoke the tone and atmosphere of the original series.

And the characterization of Petofi is spot on! He is the villain I most love to hate!
