([pointing-up]  That's an interesting question. I used to watch the show fairly regularly and I don't think I ever caught one being rated - but that doesn't mean none ever were...)

([pointing-up]  Yeah, that's true - not even when the soundtrack album was out in 1969. One might have thought that would have been the perfect time for both him to appear and for them to rate one of the Blue Whale cuts. Considering AB and DS were both on ABC, that was definitely a lost opportunity!!)

Extremely odd, since American Bandstand seldom missed an opportunity to promote teen faves from the ABC lineup, whether they could sing or not. I vividly remember Maureen McCormick doing a very weird cover of Michael Jackson's Ben.
