[It's up to the first poster to come up with a set up, and then each following post will either complete it or fill in the blank(s). And, as always, whoever posts the set up is certainly allowed to post their own completion/fill in as a follow up.]

When everyone in the Blue Whale started lurching back and forth uncontrollably, Burke took it to mean they were actually living in a holodeck simulation of Collinsport aboard the USS Enterprise and the ship was under attack!

([pointing-up]  Exactly!!  [b003])

(I was just trying to think - were there only three DS stars from the original and 'the '91 series on ST:TNG? KLS, Mitch Ryan, and Jean Simmons...)

David Hurst, who played Justin Collins in PT1841, appeared in an episode of the original Star Trek called The Mark of Gideon. He played Ambassador Hodin. The episode was cowritten by actor Stanley Adams. Adams achieved screen immortality as Tybo the talking carrot on a particularly goofy episode of Lost In Space.

Okay, that accounts for his intense familiarity...
