Can you imagine if they'd paired Liz up with Tony Peterson or Chris Jennings rather than those characters with Carolyn?! Though with Liz' luck, if they were going to go with a younger man, it would have been Jeb Hawkes because that would have actually made some sense. 1966 is a bit early for cougar time but if Susan Lucci was able to dabble in boy toys in the 1980's, I'm sure that Joan would have been able to do a bit of dabbling. At the very least, it could have let to an interesting curse or two.

In Adriana Pena's Collinsport Chronicles, Adam returns to Collinsport. It's expected that he's going to reconcile with Carolyn but he actually ends up running off with Elizabeth.
