Today's LA Times dedicates a 1/4 page to Dennis Patrick in its obituary section, p. B13.  Unfortunately, it's not online, and there's an error regarding his role on DS, but it's a lovely tribute nonetheless.

(Thanks, Bette!)

What a wonderful article.....and wasn't he just the handsomest man?

Thanks for posting, Midnite.

I'm so glad that you were able to find the tribute, Midnite. Thanks for making it available for all to see. It is very beautiful and heartfelt. I was very pleased to see it when I opened my LA Times this morning.

Very nice article and picture of Dennis Patrick. I remember the area well, the Hollywood Hills off Mulholland Drive. It was a frequent hangout of mine in the early 80's. I remember the dog park too, my boyfriend at the time, used to bring his dog over. The park had just been added there, if it's the same place. I haven't been around there in over 20 years.

Thanks Midnite and Bette - I enjoyed reading that article.  Just wish it hadn't been printed for the reason that it was.

This was really nice to read up on.  I hadn't realized that he was in so many different kind of shows,  especially a vampire one as well!!  And what a handsome picture of him in the article.  He sounded liked such a talented & nice guy!  It's just so sad that we had to read up on his many talents this way.

Thanks Midnite.

That was a wonderful article.  Thanks for posting it, Midnite.  Dennis Patrick was a wonderful actor, and from the sound of it, a pretty decent guy as well.  He'll be missed.

Thanks for posting this, Midnite. Glad to see Dennis Patrick is getting his props here and on some of the other "unofficial" Dark Shadows sites, since the official ones haven't bothered to report his passing yet.

What a handsome picture! That was really lovely, thank you for sharing it. And interesting that he came by an Irish brogue honestly. I always thought it sounded pretty good, but I'm not enough of a judge to  have felt secure in saying in so.

Lovely tribute...and, as an aside, the accompanying photo is the one my members received when they joined The Dennis Patrick Fan Club (in 1969-70). It was autographed, too. The very same photo appears in Part I of "Return to Collinwood: Collecting Dark Shadows," the article I did for Autograph Collector magazine.

Thanx so much for sharing, Midnight. This was a wonderful article that he surely would have been proud to have at his obit. He certainly was a handsome man, too.

Better late than never.  In the days after Patrick's death, I looked through all the local newspapers, hoping to find an article like this.  This was a lovely and informative tribute, and it makes his loss felt so much more strongly.  Thank you, Midnite, for sharing it with us!

A nice tribute, and what a GREAT picture of him!

It's a shame they got his DS role wrong, especially since he was such a hoot as Jason, but it's a really good article, nonetheless.

Cheers,

Linda
