I wondered about that at the time myself, especially when they went to such lengths to establish that Carrie Stokes was a double for Sarah Forsythe. And, since Sarah was murdered and allegedly not at rest, Dark Shadows logic (such as it is) would have suggested a haunting of some sort.  [snow_huh] [snow_huh] [snow_huh]

Either that or Kathy Cody had gone through the amount of episodes that she had been contracted for and more episodes, with the appropriate wardrobe and hairstyle might have meant an expense that someone didn't want to incur.
