Last Chance to See Nancy Barrett in Ryan's Hope

When Soapnet goes dark next year, the channel's reruns of Ryan's Hope will leave the airwaves with it.
I'm not sure of the exact date, but Nancy Barrett's month long run on RH as Faith #2 will begin shortly. Last chance to record it!

Is it now certain that SoapNet will go dark next year? The last I'd heard was that there was a possibility that it and Disney Jr. could coexist for a few years. But regardless, it'll be a sad day whenever it ends...

As for Nancy, even though she was miscast (something even she admits), it's still fun to see her on RH. But then, I'd watch her read from the phonebook.  [ghost_grin]

There are now so many different reports about Soapnet/AMC/OLTL being cancelled & saved, I can't follow it anymore!
I've completely lost track of fact and fiction.

I thought Nancy was fine on RH--she's a terrific actress.
I have those eps on VHS, now to record them on DVD.

Was there ever any possibility of them running Grayson Hall's episodes of OLTL on SoapNet?

I was disappointed that the episode on which Nancy Barrett, Tony George and Grayson were all present and had dialogue about not having seen one another in awhile was never included as an extra on one of the DS DVDs.

That Hall/Barrett/George scene aired in 1982, so VCRs were available--I'm sure people recorded it.

All the episodes with Grayson are in the studio vault.  At one point, one of them was going to be released for viewing at the Museum of Television.  I never heard whether the suits finally signed off on it.  For some reason they were dragging their feet...

Dr. Seneca Beaulac just lost his job on the RH eps now airing. When he gets his job back in a few weeks, Nancy appears. Stay tuned!

Ah, John Gabriel - I'd forgotten all about him and what a good actor he is.  But then, RH had some absolutely amazing actors on it, some of whom who are sadly no longer with us...
