Thanks.  [easter_smiley]  But don't ask me where it came from because it just seemed to come from out of nowhere. Though it does seem like something Flora might do!!  [nodassent]

There was a OLTL character named Maggie Carpenter, who started off as a nun and left the order to go to clown school. Her last appearance on the show had her shot out of a cannon. Never mentioned again, at least when I was watching. Maybe that's what prompted it? [easter_huh] [easter_huh]

No, it can't be that because I wasn't watching OLTL then. In fact, I don't even know who Maggie Carpenter was on the show. But that must have been some storyline: nun leaves her order to go to clown school?!  [easter_shocked]  Who the hell was the head writer then?!  [easter_rolleyes]

The character was created by Michael Malone, who did some great stuff on OLTL. This wasn't one of them. Maggie was the cousin of long term character Andrew Carpenter. Maggie's back story was that she had been a wild child and her way of redeeming herself was to become a nun. Her motive changed later. She wasn't becoming a nun because of any true calling. She thought that it was the perfect way to piss off her archbishop father. Anyway, she fell for Max Holden, left the order, opened a "circus arts" school which led to being shot out of said canyon. I don't recall Maggie being mentioned again.

Even by soap standards, the Carpenters were quite a dysfunctional family. [easter_rolleyes]
