(    And given my being reminded about the cow attacks in 1967 thanks to the current 2nd Robservations slideshow, it's interesting that no other storyline in which Barn is a vampire ever mentions such attacks. But then all the writers thought that Malcolm Marmorstein was a fool to write that. And quite seriously, Barn would have been a complete fool if he attacked Mordecai's cows because Mordecai was already up in arms and blaming Quentin for supposed attacks on his herd!

Then again, though, wouldn't it have been a kick if it was Barnabas who really did commit the attacks but never took the blame?)

I don't really recall any stories where the vampire fed on livestock. Except the infamous Howard the Duck story which came later and might well have been inspired by DS.

(  I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was actually inspired by DS...)

(I know Willie is supposed to have been sent to siphon cows for blood, but I still haven't seen the unedited episodes that talk about this.  It does seem to be an overlooked plot complication that was right there begging to be picked up on, with Barnabas and Mordecai.)
