Wouldn't it have been cool if someone had cast Jonathan and Lara as George and Martha, with maybe Joel Crothers and Nancy Barrett as Nick and Honey?

Unfortunately. They could even have done scenes from it at a Festival. It would have been mesmerizing and nowhere near as self indulgent as a lot of the other presentations.
