KLS's new book
« on: September 29, 2002, 09:52:13 PM »
Hi everyone,
I'm kinda new to the board, although I've been a fan forever.  I was wondering if anyone knows any info on KLS's new fiction book.

That's interesting you should ask because I was thinking about it myself. Looks like TLATKLS is keeping low-key about the book since there is no information on either of her two websites www.pompress.com or www.kathrynleighscott.com. My guess is it will be published by the 2003 Festival.

Did I miss something? What new book by KLS? I thought Lara Parker was possibly writing another DS story?
Personally, I wish they'd give Mark Rainey another chance to show his talent with another DS story. His Labyrinth of Souls would've been great!!

Connie and I could write a Quentin/Desmond story that would knock your socks off!!!!!!

Does anyone know what the book is about? Is it related to Dark Shadows?
BARNABAS: Here at Collinwood, old hates don't die. They lie in wait for the innocent and unsuspecting...

QUENTIN: We're guaranteed to make you believe (spells) exist. Our entire family can be explained in no other way...

Don't panic.....

Mark's working on other projects right now....he let us know a while ago  that he would be busy with them for a while so we have to wait for him to have time before he goes back to work on ".....Souls"! ;)

Yes, Lara is writing another DS related book. However, KLS's new book is fiction but not connected with DS.

Welcome Maggie! [hello]

The avatar you've chosen is unfortunately in use by another poster, Maggie Evans, so you can see where it might be difficult to distinguish the two of you, but not to worry cuz I think DS68_maggie_C1.jpg (which is similar to the one you have now) and DS68_maggie_L1.jpg are available.  If I'm wrong about that, I hope someone will let me know.  Anyway, if you'd like to check them out, they're displayed in a topic on the Testing 1,2,3 board called DS 1968 Avatars Part 3, and please let me know if you need any help with either one.

Hi Afan,

I'm still working on some other writing projects, and it's taking a lot longer than I originally anticipated; it's kinda good, in its way, because the first project opened the door for a couple of others, which hopefully will wind up being quite lucrative. On top of that, I've got a convention to attend next weekend (Trinoc*Con in Raleigh, NC), and several other traveling engagements in October. It's going to be a busy month.

At least the week in the Caribbean will be for pleasure. ;)

Yeah, but I have grave doubts that it would knock anyone's socks off (or any other piece of clothing for that matter).
But hey - I'm game.  Start thinking of ideas.  YOU'RE the one with the imagination.

Hmmm, I could think of some exciting situations involving Quentin and Desmond, those daredevil Collins boys with an attitude.  But I suspect the readership of such redactions would be rather ... recherche.

Dream up all the exciting situations you like for Quentin, but leave Desmond out of it......

My monkshood is finally blooming and I wouldn't want to have to use it on you. [vryevl]

Ooh RP I could feel that GLARE you leveled in my direction from all the way over here!

You're clearly not a W ... WISE woman to be tangled with!

Now, come on, couldn't I tempt you with just a LITTLE Desmond Collins excitement?  oh, wait, the word "little" should never be used in the same sentence with that man ... HMMMM...

Ducking for cover,
