According to Variety (A few London theaters counter-program during holiday season), Alec Newman ('04 Barn) is appearing in a production of King Lear headed by Derek Jacobi.

The article says the production will broadcast as part of National Theatre Live.  So if you want to find a screen near you, go to the NTL home page, select "Productions" and use the link below King Lear to find a venue.  Feb. 3!  [hall2_cheesy]

And one that describes Newman's character as "an ebullient bastard": King Lear

Apparently the production is going on tour: Sir Derek Jacobi to bring his King Lear to Welsh audiences

And the February 3rd performance is going to be screened in British cinemas live from the London stage.

Apparently the February 3rd performance won't be the only one screened - and the screenings won't be limited to British cinemas: Donmar Warehouse's KING LEAR Gets Broadcast at La Mirada Theatre, 2/20
