It's AMAZING how the thunder at Collinwood always sounds right after a dramatic statement...without fail!  It sure is a stormy place!

I love thunder storms.....so much so that I have a CD that's nothing but an hour of thunder and rain!

I usually put it on when I'm settling in with a good ghost story.

One night I couldn't find the CD.  My daughter thought she would be helpful by suggesting that all I had to do was put on any of the DS tapes and get the same effect.

I sent her to her room.

[ghost][ghost] I am reading a highly recommended book, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.  It is wonderful and touching.  It is supposed to have been written by a murdered girl who keeps tabs on her family and her murderer after her death.  She wants so very much to contact and warn them, but .........read the story to find out.  The book begins "I was fourteen when I was murdered....."A real grabber. [ghost]Afan[ghost]PS This is not a book for young children.  Hope I didn't give that impression. Afan
Where are they getting these bodies, Mulder,  are they making them?

I've heard so much about this book, Afan, that I'm anxious to read it.  Thanx for the good word.

Love the thunder, just wish they'd thrown in some rain f/x.

Another suggestion for a good volume of ghost stories:

The Collected Ghost Stories of M.R. James James, M.R. NTC/Contemporary Publishing Co.

Don't read before bedtime ;)

I would like to suggest the following title:

NIGHT STALKS THE MANSION: A TRUE STORY OF ONE   FAMILY'S GHOSTLY ADVENTURE

by Constance Westbie & Harold Cameron

It is a good day because I am still ticking!

I tried to underline my title by putting in front and behind the title, that didn't work, so I tried italics front and back and that didn't work.  Some of you underlined as I know a title should be.  How did you do this?

Maybe you left out the slash in the second one (after the word(s) you want underlined).  Like this...[/u].
Get it??  The first one in FRONT of the word is - without the slash, and the second one AFTER the word has a slash.

I have also heard thunder at the end of Dark Shadows, when the credits were rolling, a couple of times. Recently one morning in Vegas, there was a really loud crash of thunder, and lightning lit up the sky. Awesome! For a good ghost story, you will definitely want to read, "Relax, it's Only a GHOST"( ADVENTURES with spirits, hauntings, and things that go BUMP in the night), by Echo Bodine. My favorite is Chapter 7, "The Ghost Was In Love". Ghosts can be romantics too. Sometimes a ghost gets really attached to someone on this side and can't let go. If you think a ghost may be smitten with you, have fun!

Don't forget that the Help section lists the YaBB (bulletin board) codes and demonstrates how they're used.  It opens a separate window you can use to compare what's not working in your message or to paste as many codes as you want to use at a time.  Click Help, Posting, then YaBBC.
