Nice blurb. It makes me wonder whether there are fans who insist on addressing Frid as "Barnabas" when they meet him. There are some old radio interviews from those incessant phone-in shows that never seem to die (the popularity of the format escapes me) uploaded onto Youtube of the late, lamented Jonathan Harris. Harris portrayed the infamous Dr. Zachary Smith on the cult sci-fi series Lost in Space in the Sixties. In at least three of these old interviews, both the djs/emcees and the fans who phoned in kept addressing Harris as "Dr. Smith." Harris playfully went along (and in a couple of cases allowed some really distasteful bantering insults to fly by in his own inimitiable style) but I can't imagine Frid being so accommodating.
