Though one does wonder why this person even bothered to review the show when they hadn't watched very much of it (perhaps 3 eps if their estimation that they watched 0.25% of the eps). But still check out:
31 Days Of Horror, Weekend Round-Up #3: 'The Call Of Cthulhu,' 'Carnival of Souls,' 'Dark Shadows'At least they realize that Gothic storytelling is a work of deliberate pacing - something that's all but abandoned in this world where wham bam pacing is the norm rather than the exception.
(And the person quite obviously has no idea how truly flimsy and laughable the sets looked on the other soaps of the time. But that's a whole other issue...)
