I never liked when she did that either. Felt so sorry for poor Beth, especially since she really loved him and Angelique didn't.

Also didn't like how she used Tony Peterson and managed to come between him & Carolyn.

Yes..Poor Beth..I thought she was a sweetie...(possible Spoiler).....didn't angelique use Roger too..in PT?..

Yes..but you know by the time we see her again with Sky Rumson, she's trying to be good and be happy and feeling very much in love.

Right after that marriage fell apart she decided that once again she was still in love with Barnabas, who apparently was getting a bit too friendly with Maggie Evans. When Angelique saw that,  she suddenly decides to put a love spell on Maggie & Quentin, to make them fall in love.

Another time in 1970PT when she found out that Julia wasn't her beloved Hoffman after all,  she locks her up in the Collinwood dungeon and leaves her there.

SPOILERS!!!

[Don't read if you haven't seen 1970PT! --Midnite]

The truth surfaced that Roger not Quentin had killed her during a seance at Collinwood. When Angelique switched places with her twin Alexis and found out that he was responsible, she bestowed on him that kiss of death.

I was just trying to remember all the dirty deeds Angelique has done on the show.

SPOILER

The only time I felt sorry for Angelique is when she was married to that Leviathan character, and didn't know what he was. As far as her death goes, she got back all the dirty deeds that she bestowed on others. All the evil spells, and harm she wished on people, it all came back to haunt her.

I was just wondering...

I have always considered PT Angelique and RT Angelique completely different characters. Therefore, there are certain things only PT Angelique did that RT Angelique didn't do. I, for one, didn't like PT Angelique at all, but I love RT Angelique. She didn't even have a reason to do the things she did, while RT Angelique truly believed she was doing the right thing.

Does everyone else consider these separate characters or both "Angelique"?

That's a good question, Lindsey.

I've always seen them as being separate and distinct.  PT Angelique is even more heartless than RT Angelique (which really is just sort of appalling when you think about it).  In some respects the difference is that the PT character is dispassionate about what she does.  She loves no one.  Not even Daniel.  She sucks up the praise and all, but there's no affection for anyone.  Sociopathic would be my diagnosis for her.

With the RT character, Angelique believes that she's capable of love.  True, she doesn't give it the same definition as the rest of the planet (would any of us cause pain to the young sister of the guy you loved?), but she's got this urge to give and receive love.  Aside from her own narcissism, her tragic flaw is that she just doesn't get it.

So yeah, I see them as separate and distinct.

I was just trying to remember all the dirty deeds Angelique has done on the show..cause I find myself feeling sorry for her sometimes and I wanted to remember why I shouldn't..So let's see
Making Barnabas a vampire..
making Ben Stokes her fall guy..
setting vicki up for a hanging..
killing sarah..
the spell thingy with Jeromiah & Josette..
the ruining of Joe & Maggie..
she's actually responsible for Naomi's death too..
turning Joshua into a cat (which I thought was perdy funny myself)..
good grief..I can't even remember all the reasons ~!!!!Funny :P

Wow, Luciaphil! Your whole post was completely dead on, but I especially love this take on RT Angie. I feel superfluous since you HAVE said it all, but I least I can compliment you!

SPOILER ALERT:

Angelique's most evil act is what she did to poor Sarah....striking out against an innocent child is simply inexcusable, even if she is the sister of the man who has rejected her.

I didn't like Angelique coming between Beth and Quentin either....I wish Beth had given her a bitch-slap like Julia did her when she was passing herself off as Cassandra!
