I absolutely love this interpretation, posted by the artist Bret Herholz on his blog:

Yesterday, he shared his 2nd DS commission-- of Quentin as werewolf:

Very interesting to see that photo interpreted in his style.

Love the suit. Must be an interpretation of a dream Quentin had in the '70s.  [b003]

That's great.  Shades of Edward Gorey.

Those are different but quite interesting! :)  Thanks for sharing  Midnite!  [ghost_smiley]
If you like DS and want to have a fun  on a Facebook page that is open to all forms of DS and doesn't allow childish behavior like some groups; come on over to DIAESD! You do have to ask to be invited and I will approve you.

Very Edward Gorey-ish, indeed - one of my favorite illustrators.

He's definitely a Gorey fan--which shows good taste.  His version of Cassandra is a little too palely loitering for me, but I enjoy the drawing on its own terms.

They reminded me of the opening title sequence to the BBC's "Mystery" series on PBS. Which, I now discover, is the artwork of Edward Gorey.  [ghost_smiley]

Ed Gorey also designed the sets for the 70's Broadway revival of Dracula with Frank Langella.
