(Chuckle.  What if Barnabas actually reveled in his lying, rather than being nervously guilty?  By all means, turn the big lie into a technicolor slide show performance, maybe with a fireworks display outside for the big finish!)

Magnus I'm imagining the perplexed looks amongst the audience during the puppet show, as Barn is saying something like, "Nobody realized that Barnabas Collins was actually from the other time-band and when he was found out, they became very very angry!"   

And fireworks at the end would be stupendous!!
