Does it seem strange to anyone else?

I was looking at the shows I had taped this week.
(I am a Tax Consultant/Financial Advisor, so can
imagine how much watching time I will have for awhile).

I can not believe the sheriffs reaction when he
went to the Old House to tell Barnabas that Willie
had been shot. Willie, I believe was shot at 3:00 AM
and the sheriff told Barnabas that he was shot about
an hour ago, so now we are up to 4:00AM.

Here it is 4:00AM, Barnabas opens the door, dressed
in a suit, Julia was dressed in a suit and they had
been researching. This didn't seem at all odd to
the sheriff? Is this just me?

I think, after having to deal with a nine-year-old trying to murder his father by rigging his car, discovering that a groundskeeper murdered one man and tried to kill a governess, constantly receiving reports from Phoenix, AZ, that the woman he knows is Laura Collins but according to the reports burned up in an apartment fire, and a host of other sundry goings-on on the Collinwood estate grounds, the goodly Sheriff George Patterson has learned not to ask any questions about who's doing what when it's whatever time; he just shakes his head, and just mumbles under his breath: "You ain't seen nuthin', George; you ain't seen nuthin'."

Welcome to DARL SHADOWS' reality: where day is night and night is day; where people rarely sleep (except when the plot calls for someone to be asleep so a vampire can attack); where the full moon rises three or more nights in a row (so the werewolves can stalk more victims); where one can enter a new dimension in time by crossing a threshold, walking up a staircase or throwing some Chinese wands (not to mention seances); where it never snows in the winter, and where thunderstorms produce only lightning and thunder but no rain; where 22-year-old women are regularly attracted to 43+-year-old men, and vice-versa; and where the more unusual, odd and NOT like real-life things become, the more we love it! LOL.

Ben, Thank you for rooting us in Dark Shadows reality. . . also at Collinwood you can hang out with all the boys until the wee hours of the morning, drinking sherry and cognac, and carousing and no one dare insinuates you **might** be a loose woman. . .Julia99

As Julia Hoffman recently said to Miss Vicki (Winters), "Barnabas Collins is one of the most dedicated 'night persons' whom I've ever encountered." Nuff said!

And the biggest mystery of all, Bob ------ does Julia Hoffman EVER get that green suit coat dry cleaned?

And, Gerard, does Julia get hair done at the same place that Sabrina Stuart had her "coif" done, at Collinsport's most "in demeand" hair sylist, the one and only "Mr. Buzz's" of Hancock County?

PS I think that Matthew Morgan Johnson used to take personal care of everyone's dry cleaning needs in the great house on the hill. Oops gotta go, Bill Baird's bat is strafing young Davey!!!

Well, we do know, Bob, that Elizabeth finally went to the skilled hands of Mr. Buzz when that little problem with a coupla Victorian ghosts started to happen. She actually looked rather hip (even started to wear above-the-knee skirts). Unfortunately, she eventually got into the habit of using those hair ribbons she discovered in the Nora Collins collection.

Nope, it's not just you; I wrote a fanfic once where I had one of George's men finding his reaction a wee bit strange.

This was one of those scenes that really made me sit up--I mean, c'mon, it's small town New England in 1967 and the sheriff doesn't even blink at this.

At least, Roger when he encounters a similar situation much, much, later in the plot, gives Barnabas a look and an "Oh, really?"

Wait until you see just how dedicated Mrs. Johnson is to her job, lol.
