(Although it also brings back bad memories because when the RI ABC affiliate banished DS to 8:30am for 4 excrutiating months in '68-'69 (damn those wacky parents groups and clergy), the station replaced it with Rocky and His Friends. Sure, the show was always fun to watch - but it was no DS!!  [nodno])

How horrifying!  [evilg] [evilg] [evilg] We had the opposite problem in Connecticut. The ABC station in New Haven only started showing DS mid way into parallel time 1970. I was watching on the ABC affiliate from NYC, so I wasn't affected.  [91a2]

(When DS gets taken away from you, it's something you never forget - every horrifying detail is burned into your memory forever!!  [nodassent]  [wink2]  And quite honestly, I remember the day like it was yesterday when DS started up like normal with the opening voiceover only to have the screen go black for a few seconds and the opening theme to Rocky and His Friends come on. It was one of the worse WTF moments in my life.  [yikes])

(I appreciate fan histories, thanks MB... just vague general memories for me, the Thayer VO last ep, the tarp dumping visible debris as zombies struck C'Wood... I even had false memories)
