Facebook virus warning

FAN CHECK is a virus on Facebook that apparently takes 48 hours to take effect.   I was advised to delete it from "Applications", but when I clicked on "Applications", runtime error messages piled up on top of each other, and I was thrown off Facebook.   I've been having tasks fail on Facebook lately too, due to runtime errors, whatever that means.

Pass it on.   I'm off Facebook for awhile to see what happens.   I'm not prepared for viruses.

The urgent warning was passed onto me on Facebook.  I'm just letting people know.  I don't really know anything about computers, so I don't understand anything you said, but thanks.

I got the warning also, but another friend said it  was NOT a virus, but simply a bad application. There is a note on snopes.com about it. At any rate if you don't use the application of "fan check" you don't need to worry.
