I'm setting down here in the lobby of the hotel wondering were the other DS fans are, I know I'm not the first. This place has a very small lobby and a "gift shop" that doesn't sell gifts. That is not unless you want to buy a bag of chips to remember trip to Newark.

Anyway, I guess I'll be hanging out here in the lobby until I can get in my room. Should be sometime between 1 and 4 PM. It's about 7:15AM now so please, that's PLEASE [ghost_smiley] stop in and say "Hi!" if you're here, or get here anytime soon.

And I'll be checking back he to see who else has arrived.

Everybody have fun tonight.

Hope some more fans have shown up to keep you company by the time you read these words!

And have a grand time!  Your comment about the "gift shop" in the "chic" hotel had me guffawing.  I hope they don't run out of baggies of chips!  Sounds as if provisions may be scant on the ground.  there's always the extra rubber chicken from the Banquet!

cheers,

G.

Renee and her son Jacob got in last night so they may be hanging around the hotel.  Sounds like a run to a local grocery store to stock up may be in order.  Is there a bar in this hotel??

God I miss cons.  I've never been to a DS one, but years ago went to Dr Who cons and lit science fiction ones.   Thanks for the mental snapshot of you tapping away in the lobby!

It's way after the fact now but I was just thinkin...one of the wonderful things about cell phones is texting and being able to call right within the hotel.  When I was there on Sat, that's how I figured out where some of my friends were.  Cell phones can be a wonderful thing!  And...Blackberry/those thingys.  I don't have one but they have 'net capabilities, right?  So like you could IM and post right from your phone and say where you are.  Gotta love technology.

It was a great fest. I didn't post here anymore because you had to pay for internet in your room and I knew I wouldn't be there very often. A couple of suspises for my point of view. The bad one first, the right front bearing on my truck went Monday afternoon in New England. I had to find someone to fix it and didn't get home until around 4:30AM this morning. It wasn't cheap. But life goes on.

The other susprize, some friends and I got locked into Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Friday. I had to call 911 to get us out. I couldn't get anyone else with a key even after calling all of the contact numbers listed on the gate and maps. The cop was real cool about it and we even got our picture with him.
