OT: first teaser trailer for Johnny Depp in Alice In Wonderland

The trailer has leaked out a couple of days before Comic Con, when we expected to see it.  Just thought I'd share what is keeping Tim Burton busy enough to delay starting on DS    (It's a bit different from what I was expecting!)

Thanks for posting the link, madscntst!  It definitely does look like an ambitious project.  So there is a release date in the trailer - is that a drop dead date (no pun intended  )?  Or do the release dates ever move once the teaser comes out?

Miranda, the AIW release date has been known since last fall, while it was still filming, and hasn't changed.  It seems they chose that date purposely and will stick with it unless anything unforeseen happens.   From what I've gathered the last few years following some film/box office forums, a lot of times various studios will stake their claims early for the big blockbuster-type films, and then jockey around so that these big films are spread out a little bit.  Sometimes they do get moved, but I get the impression there's a lot of politics going on to get a "good" release date.  We'll see!

Thanks Madscntst for posting this video so I could see it before the studio possibly removes it. It is great! After all this time TB only has completed one minute and 34 seconds? I think he has completed more than this. Well at least I hope he has.

I just guessed they would pull it especially at youtube-but as of this writing it is still available at www.johnnydeppnews.com and they referenced www.firstshowing.net but it may not last as well

According to Awards Daily, they keep putting up new links and they keep getting taken down by Disney.  A little silly, since they intend to show it on Facebook tomorrow, anyway.  Either way, I've been getting all kinds of news alerts about this teaser this afternoon and evening, so it has certainly created a lot of buzz so far!
