Midnite,
Thanks for bringing that interview to our attention.  I have to say I agree and love his last line.

Dan Curtis says:
You have to use logic. Just because there is a ghost or a monster involved, it can't become totally illogical, and if you do that
and they always do
you lose the audience completely. All realism and believability is gone

Thank You Midnite.  Dan Curtis loves DS as much as we do.  Do you think he watches it?

He was right about the last line though......DS will last forever.

Thanks Midnite! I really enjoyed reading this. It was nice to hear what Dan's favorite storyline was (1795) because it's my favorite as well!  Loved the last line, those few words say alot!!   Thanks  :)

Maybe it's just me who hasn't read/seen that many of his interviews, but IMO he always seems to come across as quite flippant when talking about DS, as if it's something annoying that comes back to bite him in the a$$ every once and awhile.  Perhaps he'd rather be remembered for his "better" work (mini-series)?

Even his "last line" seems ironic as if he's saying the "crap" I've done will last the longest and I'll always be remembered for it rather than the emmy-winning stuff I've done.

Am I off-base here?

Methinks Mr. Curtis would have done well to follow his own advice.  Logic was not his strong suit on DS.
