Pomegranate Press

Has anyone had any experience ordering some the DS books from PomPress? I sent in an order form with check over a month ago and haven't heard anything to date. My check hasn't even been cashed yet. I think it might still be sitting in the post office box waiting for someone to pick up.

I haven't.  I bought my very first PomPress book at NY's legendary sci/fantasy memorabilia shop, Forbidden Planet.  Seeing a book with a picture of Barnabas and Maggie on the cover was a marvelous experience in ... 1987, I think it was?

Most of the other ones since then I have bought at the Festivals.  If I needed to buy one now, I would probably just use Amazon or Abebooks.

Good luck!  Is there a phone number you could call?

Best, G.

What a bummer. Between a check possibly taking up to two weeks to clear and a book rate delivery (if that's the case) I can see it taking up to a month. I sure would start inquiring though.

I bought all mine at festivals (I believe). I love, love, love, my PP DS books!

I'll have to find a way of contacting them to see what the story is. Last time I e-mailed them, never got  a response.

I may  go  the amazon.com route and if I end up getting 2 copies, oh well!

as gothick mentioned kathryn leigh scott always sets up major shop at the fests.

she'll happily autograph your purchases as well(if you care about such things)so if you plan to attend it might be a good time to stock up.

hopefully she'll have some new offerings this year.
sleep 'til noon and your punishment shall be the dregs of the coffeepot.

I have ordered nearly all of the DS books directly from Pomegranate Press. Although this was several years ago, there has never been any problem. I seem to recall that it may have taken a while for my checks to be cashed also. I was also under the impression that Ms. Scott fulfills the orders herself, so it may be that she is busy at the moment. I would suggest waiting a couple of weeks more, at least, before sending an inquiry. This is a small business, not an operation like amazon.com!
