Set-up:

"refusing Edward's suggestion to wear his complimentary pair on the outside of his pants to show them off for the public."

"insisting chamber pots were the only way to go."

"... For another, his cousin Barnasbas kept interrupting to rebut, and tell people that the leaky and frightening undergarments had in fact not reduced Edward's public embarrassment on bit, nor his family's!"
